Coco Martin (formerly Rodel Nacianceno), the king of Indie films, is an actor from the Philippines and perhaps the best known Pinoy hunk amongst stars such as Ethan Zulueta, Cedric
Javier, Aljur Abrenica, Carlo Guevarra and Marco Alzaraz. That country really does churn out the cutest guys to
tantalize the gay community here in the West. Martin has been cast in so many awesome award-winning independent movies since he started out in acting as one of the Star Circle batch 9 and went on to be managed by ABS-CBN's talent agency. But because Coco has his head screwed on correctly, he decided to complete his education first, appearing in a few television commercials like BPI and Smart.
Coco broke into the big time in the Phillipines with indie film Masahista The (Massuer) with a gorgeous young man you rarely seem to see with clothes on, Paolo Rivero, earning Coco a Young Critis Best Actor Award in 2006. You may also have caught Coco in Kaleldo (Summer Heat) that year. In 2007 we didn't get to see Martin naked in anything because he was
doing the TV show thing with Daisy Siete, trying his hand at the boy-band thing with The Studs (where are they now?). He did tease us with a part in the gay-oriented indie flick Daybreak, again with his peer Paolo.
2008 is the year we are interested in to catch a glimpse of Coco in the nude. Back at ABS-CBN, Coco joined the cast of hit show Tayong Dalawa (The Two of Us) with sharp looker Gerald Anderson. By the way, if anyone has caps of Baron Geisler's nudity in Jay please share. Coco was in lots of stuff in 2008, including Tiltil (The Tillers) with a large sexy cast that
included Tonio Quiazon (from Erotica: Lessons of the Flesh). The biggest movie for us of course is Serbis (Service) where Coco has a fairly long uncensored sex scene with Mercedes Cabral in the nude where he has a visible erection. The film was a big hit at Cannes recently although the nudity, filth and poverty shocked the audiences.
