French actor Gilles Marini spent his early years working in his father's bakery in France until he joined the army, where he was stationed in Paris to work as a fireman in the Brigade des sapeurs-pompiers de Paris. Apparently Gilles met a famous photographer called Fred Goulden while in Paris, and so the modelling career commenced. Why we don't have more nude photographs of him from then, I don't know.

As soon as his military career ended he headed for the States where he started to learn English and model to pay the bills. His big break was a television commercial for Bud Light and then made his acting debut in a very bad horror film called Screech of the Decapitated; no really, it was that bad.
