Scottish actor James McAcoy is probably best known for recent parts in The Last King of Scotland, Atonement, Timur Bekmambetov's 2008 movie Wanted with some sexy black rapper called 'Common' (sense) and the TV series Children of Dune. My fondest memories of him are in Brit television comedy Shameless and that brilliant University Challenge movie Starter For 10.

Did you hear ther rumour that he is to be cast as Bilbo Baggins for the The Lord Of The Rings Guillermo del Toro prequel, The Hobbit. Also rumoured to be invovled are Doug Jones and of course Andy Serkis as Gollum.

Since his work filming in Uganda MCAvoy has been a supporter of the British Red Cross' work there.

James has also done a lot of work on stages, including The Tempest at Brunton Theatre, Romeo and Juliet at The Courtyard Hereford in 1999 and Three Days of Rain this year (2009) at the Appolo Theatre. I did try to get to the Royal Court Theatre in 2005 to see him playing Ben in Breathing corpses.

In the 2007 movie Becoming Jane there is a scene where James is skinny dipping in the nude with Joe Anderson, the guy with the looks of a model. Pretty clear shot of his bare butt, although nothing special. In the British TV comedy drama Shameless James played Steve McBride for thirteen episodes, in the first episode he flashes his naked ass when pulling his trousers down. The best nude scene we can catch James in to date, by far, if in Kevin Macdonald's Oscar-winning The Last King of Scotland with David Oyelowo, when McAvoy's character Dr. Nicholas Garrigan is in his bedroom with Forest Whitaker and removes his pants to change in to a pair of trousers.
