Best known for playing a loud, rude drug dealer Jay in the movie Jay and Silent Bob, Jason Edward Mewes (born 1974) lives out the New Jersey hunk role nicely for the Hollywood media. This bad-boy image is perhaps due to the fact he was actually a heroin addict for a very long time. His good friend and director Kevin Smith was a central figure in caring for and rehabilitating Jason.

Enough of the rather depressing side to his life, let us acknowledge a career that has included some classics like Clerks, Mallrats (truely legendary!), Dogma (with the hunky Matt Damon)and Chasing Amy. His acting seems to have gone through a stage of not-so-good movies but he hit back in 2008 by stripping naked for his role in comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which brought him to our attention again here at celebritycandids.com, along with the cute Seth Rogan, super-man Brandon Routh and young actor Ricky Mabe.

In 2008 Mewes got engaged to his longtime partner Jordan Monsanto.

We waited a long time to see Jason nude on the big screen. The best we had was in the Clerks sequel where we moons his bare butt against a window, aimed at the people in the restaurant. Then in Zack and Miri we discover that Mewes had nothing to hide..far from it..he decided to strip naked in scenes where was making a porno, showing the world how well-endowed he is. The movie is a fictional, comical account of making a porn movie, featuring real-life stars Katie Morgan and Traci Lords. The character Zack is played by Seth Rogen and Miri is played by Elizabeth Banks. I highly recommend you checkout his fairly large penis in my caps.

Questions we need answers are: Will he keep playing characters named 'Jay'? Will Jason be taking his clothes off more often now we have all seen his goods?

I have to admit to not knowing a great deal about his plans. A glance at IMDB and you can see he is involved in lots of productions including prison movie K-11, Mitch and Stu's Quest, Repo. Silent But Deadly, Shoot the Hero and perhaps reaching is sooner than them, Tom Cool, a comedy about a man who has had 50 jobs and finally gets his dream job driving escorts.
