American actor Ryan Phillippe was born in New Castle, Delaware on the 10th September 1974.

Ryan burst onto the small screen in ABC's drama One Life to Live playing the first ever gay person in a daytime soap drama. Phillipe then appeared in a number of small roles in movies such as Nowhere, White Squall and Little Boy Blue. But it was to be I Know What You Did Last Summer which made Ryan a success. Phillippe is probably best known for modern day remake of Dangerous Liaisons, Cruel Intentions, a film which co-starred his wife, Reese Witherspoon.
